What do they have in common, all these wonderful woman authors?

They are all members of the 1.6 million club for women's health.

1.6 million women are over 45, hence the name. Middle-aged women are not exactly a group rousing passion and interest, nor in the medical research teams where young men at the military service age are used as standard for women's health.

When Alexandra Charles realized this she started the 1.6 million club together with Britt-Marie Landgren, gynaecology and obstetrics, Karin Schenck-Gustafsson, cardiology, and several other well-known women. The club will encourage the joy for living, change attitudes and inform the public in an objective way of women's health.

"We want to put an end to the myths concerning the menopause by information and encouragement, suggestions and advice how to deal with life in the future. It is about being a proud woman in mid-life, responsible for one's own health and maintaining lust and sensuality".

To the Core Group belong Ingemo Bonnier, Ettan Bratt, Alexandra Charles, Kjerstin Dellert, Karin Falck, Lill Lindfors, Marie Mian, Gunilla Pontén, Kerstin Sandels, Birgitta Stubbing, Barbro Svensson, Solveig Ternström.

In this book they write about the woman in mid-life, about serious and humorous episodes, reflections on mid-life, crazy old mothers and passions and engagement.

The editor Lotta Lewenhaupt, the author and food creator Kråke Lithander, the HeartWORKs trainer Åsa Wallin, the creator of Nature Pharmacy Kerstin Lundström and Dr Karin Edberg participate in this book as well.

The club's medical expertise Gunilla Björk, gynaecology, Charlotte Sachs, neurology, Ylwa Westerberg, psychiatry, Britt-Marie Landgren, gynaecology and obstetrics and Karin Schenck-Gustafsson, cardiology, write about their specialities which all have to do with women's health.
